Types of Paper

The most common paper stocks that we offer on our shopping cart are: 14 pt Cover Semi Gloss, 16 pt Cover Semi Gloss, and 28 pt Super Cover Semi Gloss. 14 pt Cover Semi Gloss is a sturdy stock, a great choice for foil hang tags as they may be heavily handled as they and their accompanying package make their way to their recipient. This paper is coated with a nice sheen. 16 pt Cover Semi Gloss we describe as “lustrous” as it’s satiny finish seems to shine itself. This pairs nicely with the foil stamping that is laid over it.  28 pt Super Cover Semi Gloss is a good choice if you need a durable stock as it comes with double the thickness, especially good for embossed hang tags. Print Type 

After you have selected the perfect size, shape and paper stock for your foil hang tag, slide over the “Printing Process” tab to select how you want your foil design to be printed onto the paper. 

Your first choice will be “None”. By clicking on this option you indicate to us that you would like to have your text and design simply a basic gold or silver foil sheen for your text or design. Don’t be confused by “Basic”. Whatever shade you go with for your foil choice, the effect is stunning. If you want more color you can choose  “digital press - front only” or  “digital press - front and back”. Here we use our process of mixing the four primary printing colors: cyan, magenta, yellow and black to create any color you can imagine. This allows you to have your own custom foil hang tags in New York! You will see the term “4/0” for the front only option meaning your tag will only have color on the front, while 4/4 indicates you would like this foil color on both sides.
